InfoGlutton joins MediaMiser

Today, we announce that InfoGlutton has been acquired by Ottawa-based media monitoring firm MediaMiser Ltd.

MediaMiser is the Canadian leader in monitoring and analytic of online and traditional media. With impressive client portfolio including several Fortune 1000, Mediamiser was recently named one of the Ottawa fastest growing company by the Ottawa Business Journal and also won silver mid-market company of the year at Ottawa Business Achievement Award ceremony.
We will integrate InfoGlutton’s key technologies into MediaMiser’s product including semantic noise filtering and automatic sentiment analysis. We also join MediaMiser with our know-how for serving small and medium businesses. Nonetheless to say that we are excited to join an highly skilled team of development, sales and marketing and to move to class A office in the hearth of Hintonburg community.

On the use of Internet Measurement and Monitoring Tools

In July and September 2011, we hired Niviti to conduct a survey with francophone social media power users. The survey is about the tools they use to monitor their online presence and measure their actions.
Analysis of survey data was made with the help of Substance strategies.

Hack/Reduce 4 in Ottawa

InfoGlutton is proud to partner with Hack/Reduce 4 to be held at the Language Technology Research Centre, next August 13th.
Hack/Reduce is one day Hackathon of intensive coding and learning on ‘Big Data’. We expect to attract 60 developpers, entrepreneurs, professionals and students. Hadoop and Map/Reduce experts will be on site to share their knowledge. All the information on the technologies we use and how to prepare for the event is available on the Hack/Reduce web site.
We opened sixty spots – FREE – including coffee, food and access to a cluster of over 500 machines on Amazon EC2.

InfoGlutton enables small business owners to monitor their brand, their product and key individuals on the web.
